Upon completion, Jeddah Tower stands to be the World’s Tallest Building.
Designed by the Chicago firm of Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill, it will soar over 1 kilometer in height in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. How the heck do you build something like that?
Ben Johnson (former Cliff Dwellers president and a director with the Chicago firm of AS+GG) has been Project Manager for the Jeddah Tower, as well as multiple super-tall tower projects around the world. In this talk you’ll get a project update on this monumental building, as well as learn about the design and construction challenges inherent with “MegaTall” structures.
