Jazz night will also feature a sound installation!
“ThyssenKrupp – 153-1-MRL” is a work by AIR Takashi Shallow and long-time collaborator Andrew Dorkin. The piece is an ambient audio installation that will take place in the Cliff Dwellers elevator on the evening of 10/6. With no clear beginning or end, subtle sounds, foreign yet vaguely familiar to the elevator, will fill its space. Shallow is a professor of sound and art at the University of Chicago, and Dorkin holds a doctorate in poetics.
