The acclaimed mezzo-soprano Julia Bentley will perform this work accompanied by Julie Rosenfeld on violin and Eli Lara on cello.  These exquisite performers will further delight us with the works of Heitor Villa Lobos and Bernard Rands.  The program will end with a return to Sandburg and briefly salute The American SongBag (the poet’s oft-overlooked compilation of American folk music).
